Adverse Weather (updated 7:45am 22.01.18)

School is open today. Please be advised that the back gate remains closed this morning. Our car park and paths around the school remain extremely slippy.

As per our adverse weather plan, a path has been created from the main gate to the front entrance. Our back gate will remain closed this morning. We will make every effort to make further routes into school throughout the day.
Snow is very thick around the school and parents are strongly advised not to use the school car park and drop off area as this has not been gritted or cleared.

Enrolment 2018 (updated 22.01.18)

If you were not able to make it along to school to enrol your child last week due to the adverse weather, please contact the school office on 01355 232 066 to arrange an appointment.

Please be advised that children who will  be 5 between the 1st March 2018 and the end of February 2019, should enrol at their local primary school week beginning 15th January. Enrolment in St. Hilary's will take place from 11am to 12 noon Monday to Wednesday and 1-3pm on Thursday.

We are hosting an informal open afternoon on the 11th of January at 1:30pm for parents who are thinking of sending their child to our school. This will give you a chance to meet some of our staff, find out a little more about the school and also take a tour of the building.

Adverse Weather- School Grounds (updated 15.12.17)
Unfortunately the weather conditions over the past week have resulted in treacherous conditions, particularly on our footpaths, carpark and in our playgrounds.
As per our Adverse Weather Plan, every effort will be made to ensure there is a clear pathway created between the entrance gate and the front door of the school. This is our priority route. The back gate will be closed if we have been unable to create a clear pathway.
A request has been made for our car park to be gritted but this is out with the school’s control and parents and visitors use this at their own risk.
We will make every effort to keep parents informed about access through Twitter, text messages and the school website. Thank you for your understanding and apologies for any inconvenience this causes.

School Uniform (updated 14.12.17)
Many thanks to all our parents for your wonderful support in turning your children out so beautifully in our school uniform. The pupils are looking very smart. Parents are reminded that indoor shoes are required to  be worn inside the school and we would appreciate your support in providing these. Shoes will be sent home at the end of term so parents can check them for size and condition.

Standards and Quality Report and School Improvement Plan (added 22.08.17)
Copies of these documents are available in the 'Publications' section of our website and are also available from the school on request.

Volunteers (added 22.08.17)
As always, we rely heavily on parents and family volunteers to support the work of the school. If you are interested in helping out please contact the school office to make your availability known and to arrange for PVG Disclosure checks as required.

S.H.A.P.E.S (updated 14.12.17)
Our next Parent Council Meeting will be held in school on TBC. All parents are welcome to attend.

Parking! (updated 26.10.17)
Please note that due to nursery extended hours our car park is extremely busy at morning drop off and 3pm pick up. Parking spaces are limited and parents are encouraged to 'park and walk'. Everyone is asked to be patient and curtious when parking in the school car park and adhere to speed restrictions. Please be respectful of disabled parking bays. These should only be used by people who have a valid disabled parking permit displayed. Please note that dropping off bays are for 'dropping off' not parking.
